Final Draft Indeed!

I’ve finished the screenplay and I can safely say it is the movie I want to make. I can now focus on the other aspects of production and preparing to play the role.

The writer’s job is finished.

Now I only have three jobs left, actor, director and producer.

write and re-write and getting closer

I'm on the fifth draft of this script and I am scrutinizing the content and story quality like never before and though it is a lot of work, I feel great about it.

The prop guns arrived, (3 fake handguns and a fake shotgun) and they are fantastic with moving parts and the works.

The one thing I know is that there is no turning back and if I have to do every job on set, I will. This movie will be finished by this time next year and it will be everything I have ever wanted to see in a movie.

Prop Guns

Today the prop guns arrive! We've always used painted squirt guns in the past but not anymore because we need shotguns, baby!

I am determined to keep this production cheap (not that I have a choice) because it is my goal to create an epic thriller without dumping unnecessary amounts of money into the production without it looking low budget.

Production Blog

My name is Terry Osterhout and I am a low budget movie maker.

Since we are hard at work on production for the movie Beating Blackheart I thought it might be cool to post a production diary.

Through my many production attempts I've always wanted to write a behind the scenes journal to offer insight into the creative process for other movie makers who might be considering making a movie.
